For thousands of years, Buddhist tradition has attributed certain basic Buddha postures to each day of the week. To this day, these basic postures of Buddha's images have not changed.

Many believing Buddhists have such a Buddha figure during the week, standing on the altar of the house, with the Buddha representing the day of the week on which one was born. Therefore, if there are several family members, there are several weekday Buddha figures in the house or flat.
